India supporting terror attacks: Sana

LAHORE (APP): Punjab Law Minister Rana Sana Ullah Khan has said that India is extending financial assistance, intelligence, weapons and training to terrorists for attacks in Punjab. Responding to various queries in a press briefing at CM Secretariat here Tuesday, he said that so far any Indian national neither arrested nor found involved directly in the suicide attacks in the province. On this occasion, CM's Senior Advisor Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa said, "We have conveyed all our reservations in this regard to the Indian government." To a question, Khosa ruled out the reports that government or the PML-N leadership was pressurising police department for not taking action against N-League MPA Shumaila Rana. "The police department do take action against Shumaila Rana, provided she is proved guilty in the credit card theft case," he maintained. Khosa said that PML-N leadership had sought resignation from the MPA even through media, but she did not proved her moral obligation in this regard. If she is proved guilty of the credit card theft, the party will take further action against her, he added. To another question, he said that some quarters were talking loudly of setting up Saraiki Province for nothing but to gain their political motives. Southern Punjab comprising three divisions had not been given proper attention during the dictatorship over the last eight years, he said, adding that present democratic government took a number of initiatives and allocated huge funds for development of this neglected part of the province. "Today, the Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif is in Bahawalpur to review the progress on the developmental projects approved for southern Punjab," he explained. The government is not oblivious of the contract employees in various departments especially health and education, and taking measures for their regularization, he responded to a questioner. To a query, the Law Minister said that public protest against power load-shedding is their ultimate right, however, law enforcement agencies take action against the people, resorting to violence. He said that a case would be registered in the incident of setting ablaze a train in Jhang district and legal action would be taken against those responsible in this regard.
